Lacson Colleges Foundation (JBLCF)\u2013Bacolod, held on August 19\u201320, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the theme <strong>\u201cBuilding Capacity for Innovative and Impactful Research,\u201d<\/strong> the two-day activity brought together faculty members and aspiring researchers for intensive capacity building. The event tapped the institution\u2019s powerhouse of resident experts and research mentors, who guided participants in aligning with the University\u2019s Research Agenda, identifying relevant research problems in the maritime and business sectors, and crafting high-quality proposals that maximized time, talent, and resources for results that matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"379\" height=\"700\" data-id=\"2058\" src=\"https:\/\/research.jblfmu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Picture2-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2058\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"434\" height=\"701\" data-id=\"2060\" src=\"https:\/\/research.jblfmu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Picture3-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2060\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"379\" height=\"699\" data-id=\"2059\" src=\"https:\/\/research.jblfmu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Picture4-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2059\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research topics were anchored on global, national, and institutional priorities to ensure strategic and sustainable outcomes. These included the <strong>United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs), the National Higher Education Research Agenda (NHERA), the University\u2019s Ten-Point Agenda and IMS Policies, and the Philippine Association of Maritime Institutions (PAMI) Research Agenda.<\/strong> By aligning with these frameworks, JBLCF\u2013Bacolod reinforced its commitment to producing research that not only contributes to academic advancement but also addresses pressing societal and industry needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"406\" height=\"654\" data-id=\"2063\" src=\"https:\/\/research.jblfmu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Picture5-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2063\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"416\" height=\"651\" data-id=\"2061\" src=\"https:\/\/research.jblfmu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Picture6-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2061\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"386\" height=\"649\" data-id=\"2062\" src=\"https:\/\/research.jblfmu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Picture7-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2062\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond technical training, the workshop also highlighted the power of collaboration. Day 1 focused on orientation and capacity-building sessions, while Day 2 challenged participants to consolidate their learning, refine their proposals, and present outputs in a culminating activity that resembled a \u201cgraduation.\u201d Organizers emphasized that the event was as much about building a community of scholars as it was about developing individual research competencies.\\<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/research.jblfmu.edu.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Picture8-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2064\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Research and Development Center described the workshop as a vital step toward strengthening the institution\u2019s research culture. The two-day journey proved that when ideas are shared, challenges are faced together, and research is anchored on a collective vision, the results transcend individual achievement.
