ICMERIP (International Conference of Maritime Educators, Researchers and Industry Partners) is a gathering of various sectors in the maritime industry to share thoughts, best practices, and research findings on issues, concerns and topics that affect maritime education and training (MET). This was conceived because in the past, JBLFMU had conducted several maritime conferences but of a limited scope and number of participants. The ICMERIP, on the other hand, focuses on specific themes that are aimed to address the gap between the maritime industry and the academe. It encourages active participation and collaboration between maritime institutions and the industry in general. This conference is held every two years and covers various sub-themes to which the parallel sessions are anchored. This conference features plenary talks, paper and poster presentations, and business meetings in the hope of promoting closer ties among interested entities/parties in the maritime industry.
