John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. held a half-day session to pursue its annual Unit Research Colloquium and Utilization Workshop via Zoom last September 17, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Six papers were presented during the session. They were the following: 1. The Use of Institutional Development Innovation Grant (IDIG) E-module to Improve the Students’ Academic Performance in Navigation 2 (Terrestrial and Coastal Navigation) by Mrs. Ma. Elena S. Francisco; 2. Employees’ Level of Engagement Towards Work Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic by Dr. Cristy H. Cangrejo; 3. The Use of Institutional Development and Innovation Grant (IDIG) E-module to Improve the Students’ Academic Performance in NGEC 9 (Math, Science, and Technology) by 3/M Louie Lloyd G. Lamprea, Ph.D.; 4. The Use of Institutional Development and Innovation Grant (IDIG) E-module to Improve the Students’ Academic Performance in Navigation 1 by 2/M Joel J. Malaya; 5. Addressing the Instructors’ Difficulties in Online Teaching through In-House Training by Dr. Emilie C. Coo; and 6. Participants’ Perceptions on the Impact of the ‘Adopt-a-Linis-Estero’ Program at Segment 3, Batiano River by Dr. Belinda E. Gavadan.
The participants of the colloquium were the Unit Department Heads, BSMT and SHS faculty members, and selected Graduate School faculty.
“The event shed light to the confusions and queries of research enthusiasts, as well as, it motivated the participants to conduct more researches for utilization to improve the approaches in online and blended system,” according to 2/M Malaya, one of the paper presenters.
