MOA Signing with DOST

The JBLFMU-Molo Research Team proposed a “Water Desalination System” for the UNISAN Island of the Province of Guimaras, Philippines. This project was qualified under the DAGAT Project of DOST (Department of Science and Technology) and NEDA (National Economic Development Agency). The DAGAT means “Driving Advancement, Generating Access, and Transforming Small Island Communities” and the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by Dr. Ronald Raymond L. Sebastian, CEO of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, and Mr. Robert O. Parcia, MMM, Administrator of JBLFMU-Molo, Iloilo City, Philippines together with Engr. Rowen R. Gelonga, CESO II, Regional Director of DOST 6, and Engr. Naomi Cossette R. Luis, DIT, Asst. Regional Director for Technical Operations, DOST Region 6. The MOA signing ceremony was held on the Third Floor of the University Library of JBLFMU-Molo last March 7, 2024. Marine engineering students, marine officers, instructors, and staff attended the MOA signing.\
