JBLCF-Bacolod Participants Elevate Skills through AI Training for Teaching and Research Management

Three participants from JBLCF-Bacolod attended the AI Application in Teaching and Research Management training which was held from November 27 to 30, 2023, at the City Garden Suites in Manila. The training aimed to provide educators with the fundamentals of managing research programs institutionally and by discipline, designing research programs for quality assurance requirements, and integrating AI in research management.

The training covered various aspects of research management, including the framework for research management, research program design for quality assurance requirements, and research management programs for faculty exchange with foreign universities and internationalization of research. It also introduced the use of AIs such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Bard, and Consensus AI as useful tools in writing research-related tasks and other research management programs, plans, and reports.

Dr. Genaro V. Japos served as the resource speaker for the training, providing valuable insights and strategies to the participants. Among the participants sent by JBLCF-Bacolod were Dr. Emeliza T. Estimo, Miss Geneveve M. Aguilar, and Miss Alyn G. Libertad, who are all actively involved in research and education.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The training highlighted the increasing role of AI in education and research management, emphasizing the need for educators to establish clear boundaries anchored on ethical considerations when integrating AI into delivering quality education. It also showcased the potential of AI in improving university decision-making, efficient administration, and prompt regulatory compliance.
